Kettle River Woodland Council
Serving Carlton and Pine Counties
The Woodlands Council, a chapter of the Minnesota Forestry Association, is a group of concerned citizens and representatives of industry and government that provide forestry education for stewardship and productivity to private land users and the general public.
Annual Arbor Tree Planting: Carlton County Fourth Graders learn how to plant trees, and the importance of trees in our daily lives.
Conservation Education Field Days: Carlton County Fifth Graders travel to the U of M Cloquet Forestry Center to learn about different aspects of the natural world around them.
Stewardship Workshops: During the year the Council holds gatherings to learn about protecting their natural resources and getting the most out of their woodlands.
Woodland Advisor Training: The Council organizes these trainings for citizen volunteers, who then educate their neighbors about forest stewardship.
ANYONE CAN PARTICIPATE ON THE COUNCIL. JUST SHOW UP AND HELP.
